Since 1985, Greenhawk has grown from a small trailer serving the racing community on a racetrack in Toronto, Ontario to become the largest equine supplier in Canada with locations stretching from coast to coast, as well as a vibrant catalogue and Internet business (see store locations).Founded by Gordon K. Russell who was later joined by his son Ian, Greenhawk grew steadily throughout the 1980's and 1990's, and then, following a carefully crafted strategic plan, has grown to over 40 locations since 2003.Today, Greenhawk and its franchise partners employ over 400 people and is represented in almost every province in Canada.
